Kingman is a city in and the county seat of Kingman County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 3,177.
Kingman was laid out in 1874. Like Kingman County, it was named for Samuel A. Kingman, chief justice of the supreme court.
Kingman is located at 37°38' 4"N 98°6'50"W (37.647024, -98.113805). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.53 square miles (9.14 km2), of which 3.52 square miles (9.12 km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) is water.
